How should we run 'Alien' Builds
As 'Alien' has been until now, voluntary.

Top three finishers from each feature are mandated into Alien build for next feature.

Due to the difficulty we have had getting the 'Alien' bucket working this season i am going to post Alien builds for cars. I think i will mostly just be taking engine parts out and maybe tyre in order to not drastically alter a car's dynamic. I'll try and get some up by tonight, comments and suggestions are welcome. Please vote to let me know how you think alien builds should be run.

Did 5 laps in the Alien Mustang at Motegi East. Best lap of 1.28.141 about .1 slower than Moe's best from last week. I do miss the noise the race exhaust puts out but having closer competition is better than my need for a loud racecar

I have to side with Jenson's comments, as drivers we don't have opinions on the sounds of the cars. They should go back to the V10s but that's just me

taht middle option is kind of very worrisome. As someoen that drives the best handling car i can in any series, if i can edge out a win at the odd handling track and then the next race or two im dead in the water because i wouldnt finish top 5 with the car at its normal build anyways. The same goes for speed cars. They win at a speed track but then the handling track they were gong to suck at becomes even more devastating. Or in an extreme case someone who normally runs mid-rear pack gets some luck via crashes or something and wins, now they are up the creek without a paddle. I think it should be admin discretion. If you think theres something that needs to be done than step in and make it happen just as it would be in real life. Im not saying cut the nadds off a guy because he is winning either though, sometimes guys are just faster but its better to reel them in slowly than take a guy that wins and force him to finish 4th every race even at his best.

Many of the closest series in the world run on a 'success ballast' system. I would try and justify it to you by saying that by using these builds rather than a bucket i can hone an alien build to each car in order not to kill it like the bucket risked doing to some cars. I also don't like the idea of picking who goes where, i much prefer there being a clear structure of what is going to happen, i don't want anything to be subjective.

I feel the podium will work because we don't tend to get many fluke podium finishers in this series, there have been a total of 15 top three drivers and 9 of those have stood on the podium multiple times. Of the 6 who have only graced the podium once 5 of them i feel have the pace to do it again and have either been unlucky or absent and the other one is me.

Also in a series where you get at least a million credits each time you're on the podium losing 10bhp afterwards isnt that much of a loss.

Eh when i drove the audi at Sebring i had no chance bc of the lack of straightline speed. I was WELL off the pace. Then, at Nurb i did well because its a handling track. If it was the other way around where i went to Nurb first and podiumed there, then had to run Sebring, take away 10 more bhp and i would go form struggling to finish 10th to finishing last.

Sainted you made two race's... First you built the car on the spot had no practice, second race you had 20min of practice if you made more race's /practice a lil you would be better

@Roscoe, i dont really need to do much testing at a track like sebring when i got pulled by 200 feet in a straight to know the car will never have pace on any speed leaning course. I would like to make more races at nsa in general, and i do want to show up to support Oddballs series but, in all honesty i dont like any of the cars.
